It was reported lately that Yahoo put links to the third-party sites from their home page. Previously Yahoo used to link to content published on the sites of Yahoo company network but the screenshot provided by Michael Arrington at TechChrunch shows that Yahoo’s started experimenting with linking outside their property sites.

They say Yahoo does it for the sake of increasing their portal’s relevance. The data will be gathered for some time and after analyzing it a decision or whether or not to make linking to 3-rd party sites a common practice.

Hope that Yahoo will continue these experiments and hope that more and more sites will get linked from Yahoo home page!
