Back links are the links of a websites which are drifted towards another website. Back links in SEO are also known as inbound links. These are important because Google uses these back links to evaluate the quality of your content. For Google these are very much important that is why in 2005 this company filled a patent application to secure its search technology based on back linking. To attain high rank among the search engine results, getting quality back links or inbound links is very important. Some webmasters and online publishers deploy various legitimate or illegitimate methods to improve search engine rankings.

Back links can be taken as voting system. Back links deliver a message to search engines that people value your opinion or content. Nos. of back links proves the standard of your web content. If more people go through your web pages containing anchor text according to the title or keywords, this is taken as approval certification of your web content. Always remember that you should get back links in natural way. Received back links should be of voluntary nature and not of mercenary. If you publish external links on your web content, mention a tag there – ‘You are charging to publish these links’. Even the services like Google recommend rel=”nofollow” attribute for the referred websites.

Most of the webmasters and blogers prefer external links rather than explaining a specific topic. Hence, generating valuable and informatory content is a good practice to get high-quality back links and to improve your web ranking.
