It’s not a secret for everybody that Google is collecting personal information about your search. Do you want anybody (even though a machine) to know your IP address, queries you use and your cookie details? I doubt that. Everybody would appreciate a certain extend of privacy in web and search is not an exception.


That must be why Google has announced the change in their Privacy Policy. After the next 18 – 24 months Google is going to anonymize their server logs of private data. This attempt of improving Privacy Policy is not only favors Google users but also provides more “transparency and certainty about retention practices”.

We consider this good news, however one shouldn’t neglect the possibility of personal data leak from search history saved on his PC directly or your Google Personal Search History Records.
