While deciding to do a mass bid update this morning, a member of our team noticed something awry within the Yahoo Search Marketing interface (DTC)…usually the menu features a “Bid to Position” option, now it is “Bid to Influence Position” – this was on content match bids.

Yahoo accidental release of Panama functionality on DTC

We are guessing the rollout to the new bid platform (long rumored to be “Panama) has just begun. Bid Rank, (presumed to be CPC) x Click-Through Rate = “listing’s position” (Ad Rank). No longer does CPC solely influence your positioning, just like Google.

    I don’t know what’s beyond the link. I click it, but the system just stays still. The DTC is slooooooowwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
